Donkey Kong 64. It is certainly a video game. This was one of the first games I got into, Johnny. It entered my life in 1999 when it came out. I remember my oldest sister getting it for me. While entranced by the game since childhood, it wasn't until 2001 that I played it more extensively. Let's just say that DK64 dominated my mindset in third and fourth grade. At one point, though, I got rid of the game. When I turned 13 in 2005, I went through an idiotic phase where I sold all my favorite Mario games, including DK64. Yeah; that was the single dumbest thing I've ever done. I managed to recover DK64 in 2007. When playing this game, I like to do so casually. I wasn't aware of the infamy of it being a collectathon until around 2010 or so. I perfect cleared my original N64 cartridge of Donkey Kong 64 by...2009, I want to say. 🤔 Later, in 2017, I decided to relive this game on the Wii U Virtual Console. I liked the smoother graphics and sped-up gameplay, but ran into that issue with some minigames being practically unplayable. It got to the point where I said "screw it" and not go for 100% completion. I only have 167 Golden Bananas on that version, but I'm okay with that. Should DK64 come to NSO, I might do the same thing. Whew! With all that said...this is my favorite DK adventure. The idea of playing full 3D environments as Donkey Kong and friends is just magnificent to me. In addition, I love that DK himself is front and center after his ancillary roles from DKC2 and DKC3. Diddy is my main; while his Rocketbarrel is wonky, his agility on the field makes up for it. It was this game that got me into Diddy Kong in general. The other Kongs aren't too shabby. Lanky is fun both in design and to play; I dig his blue collectibles. Tiny is a cute little sister to Dixie; as I played 64 before getting into the DKC games, I was more familiar with Tiny Kong. Personally, I would've kept Dixie Kong in. As for Chunky? He's the token powerhouse. I like using him to whomp Kremlings. I wish he got more screentime since DK64 though. TLDR: I _love_ DK64. This is my second favorite DK game overall, only losing to Donkey Kong Barrel Blast. Whether or not you want to play that is up to you. Great job, SomecallmeJohnny! Your custom DK Rap was a fun ending bit.

i paused in the middle of watching your video to say this seek out mk special forces prototype yes the roms out there if you google lol. to see what this game could and should have been is an understatement the prototype is far better than the actual game its one level but you can at least see where they was headed but what changed course ill never understand

So this is the only ratchet and clank game that I have played. Didn’t have much growing up so I mainly had handhelds and I remember my step dad bought me a psp with the game as a combo. I was upset because I didn’t get ds like my friends but afterwards I loved the psp… still I was a jerk about it unfortunately. I had always played on handhelds so I didn’t really get the screen crunch annoyance and this being my only ratchet game I enjoyed it a lot. I played all the racing matches and all the side stuff over and over again. Maybe because I didn’t really have much else but I genuinely Had so much fun with everything in this game. Mungo’s boss theme was my favorite sound track. The armors were so cool to me and I always wished it was longer but I enjoyed it a lot. I had beaten the game multiple times and even on new game plus. I think the funniest thing was watching my cousin play this game and getting so mad at not being able to do the hoverboard races which I never had trouble with them but would never try and help him. Did not know about agent clank until maybe a few years ago. I h
